Paragon Innovations CEO Wins Technology Award

DALLAS – Dec. 6, 1999 – The Richardson Chamber of Commerce announced Friday that Mike Wilkinson, chief executive officer of Paragon Innovations Inc., was awarded its Technology Business Council’s committee of the year award.

Wilkinson, who chairs the Technology Business Council’s Software Roundtable committee, shared the honor with co-chairs Peter Bausbacher, president of ProtoLink Inc., and Betty Hsu, vice president of marketing for Galasys Inc. All three companies are based in Richardson’s Telecom Corridor.

The award recognized Wilkinson and his committee for accomplishments towards achieving the goals of the Technology Business Council and exceptional leadership. Wilkinson has been a member of the Technology Business Council for five years and has chaired the Software Roundtable for two years.

"We have had a great lecture series this year with discussions ranging from E-Business architecture and applications to voice over IP technologies," Wilkinson said. "We will continue to offer compelling topics for area businesses to learn more about current and future software development."

The awards were given at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce’s annual holiday awards luncheon on Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, and were presented by Charles Johnston, chairman of the board, Richardson Chamber of Commerce.

The Software Roundtable is a monthly meeting for Technology Business Council members and non-member guests to discuss software and related technologies. The next Software Roundtable topic will be wireless applications protocol. The roundtable will 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Jan. 27, 2000, at the Clarion Hotel, 1981 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas.
