Vice President of Finance and Administration
Sandy Wilkinson is
vice president of finance and administration at Paragon
Innovations Inc., based in Richardson, Texas. She joined the
company in 1991, led by husband Mike Wilkinson. The company was
formed in November 1990, with Mike managing all technical
development and customer service and Sandy managing finances.
As vice president of
finance and administration, Sandy oversees human resources,
corporate operations, benefit plans, budgets and finances. She
also oversees the company’s accounting department, coordinates
all communications and logistics with Paragon suppliers, and
ensures short- and long-term profitability.
When the company was
first formed – and as it continued to experience double-digit
growth – Sandy expanded her role from financial consultant to
operations and human resources.
"We began to
grow so quickly that it was critical for me to step in and manage
all the details of new employees, expanding and acquiring office
space, buying new equipment and doing all the things necessary to
operate a full-fledged company," said Sandy.
Today, Sandy
continues to advance Paragon Innovations’ "lean, growing
machine" philosophy and process. "That’s how we stay
profitable, and that’s how we’re able to provide
highest-quality outsourced services at a cost that is often less
than what many customers would pay to do it in house," she
said.
Sandy received her
bachelor’s of science degree in education from Texas A&M,
with specialties in advanced mathematics and computer science.
Sandy remains active in several associations, including the
Dallas-Fort Worth CEO Network and the local American Electronics
Association. She also currently serves as a board member of the
Southwest High-Tech Career Fair. In her spare time, she likes
sailing, gardening, exquisite wines and crafts.
